Combine both parents' monthly net income, apply the marginal table in W.S. 20-2-304 for the number of children to find the total obligation, allocate it in proportion to each parent's net income, and order the noncustodial share. Shared responsibility multiplies total support by 150%, allocates by income share, multiplies each share by time with the other parent, and offsets. Split custody computes per-child allocations and offsets.
How income is counted: Income includes payments or returns in money or kind from nearly any source, including wages, self-employment, workers compensation, unemployment, disability, annuity, retirement, and potential income for voluntary unemployment/underemployment. Means-tested sources including Pell grants, POWER, SNAP, and SSI are excluded. Net income subtracts personal income taxes, Social Security, dependent health coverage, current preexisting child support actually paid, other court-ordered support actually paid, and mandatory pension deductions; arrearage payments are not deducted.
