This is an estimate for information only — not legal advice, and not a court calculation. Judges can and do deviate from guideline amounts. For the number a court would use, see Utah Code Title 81, chapter 6.
This number is a snapshot. Child support depends on parenting time, and parenting time drifts — swapped weekends, changed holidays, summer schedules. Vireo keeps the custody calendar, messages and shared expenses in one timestamped record, so what actually happened is never a matter of memory.

For sole custody, combine adjusted gross income, look up the base combined obligation for the number of children, and allocate by each parent's income share, subject to the low-income table. Joint custody applies the statutory 1.5 multiplier/overnight cross-credit worksheet. Split custody calculates and offsets the parents' proportional obligations for children in the other's custody.
How income is counted: Gross income is calculated under Utah Code 81-6-203 from earnings, compensation, gains, interest, dividends, pensions, unemployment, workers compensation, disability, and other statutory sources, with exclusions and self-employment adjustments. Adjusted gross income subtracts qualifying prior alimony, prior child support, and an optional present-home-child adjustment.
