Compute each parent's adjusted net monthly income; apply the low-income Area A/B rules where applicable or combine adjusted net incomes in Area C; obtain the basic support obligation from Rule 9.26; allocate by income share; apply extraordinary visitation credit, child care add-on, and medical support; joint physical care uses the Chapter 9 offset method without the low-income adjustment.
How income is counted: Rule 9.5 defines gross monthly income from all sources and exclusions; Rule 9.6 computes federal and state taxes and allowable deductions to adjusted net monthly income.
