Combine annual gross income and select the closest table row; obtain the weekly per-child amount for the total child count and multiply by the number of children; add weekly child health insurance, child care and extraordinary medical expense; allocate by each parent's income percentage and credit direct payments. Substantially equal care uses the supplemental 1.5 enhanced-support comparison and selects the lesser prescribed result.
How income is counted: Annual gross income is defined in 19-A M.R.S. §2001 with statutory inclusions, exclusions and potential-income treatment; worksheet adjustments include preexisting spousal and child support and theoretical support for other children in the non-primary parent's household.
