Determine each parent's net weekly income; combine net weekly incomes; locate the basic child support obligation in the schedule for the combined income and number of children; allocate the obligation by each parent's share of combined net income; apply the custodial/noncustodial worksheet steps and add the Guideline allocations for qualified child care and unreimbursed medical expenses. Dark-shaded low-income schedule cells use noncustodial-parent income only as directed by the schedule.
How income is counted: Gross income from enumerated sources is converted to net weekly income using allowable deductions in the Guidelines. The regulations govern self-employment, overtime/bonuses, benefits, imputed earning capacity, Social Security dependency benefits, and exclusions.
