This is an estimate for information only — not legal advice, and not a court calculation. Judges can and do deviate from guideline amounts. For the number a court would use, see O.C.G.A. §19-6-15, effective January 1, 2026.
This number is a snapshot. Child support depends on parenting time, and parenting time drifts — swapped weekends, changed holidays, summer schedules. Vireo keeps the custody calendar, messages and shared expenses in one timestamped record, so what actually happened is never a matter of memory.

Determine each parent's monthly gross and adjusted income; combine adjusted income; choose the closest income bracket in the BCSO table for the number of children; allocate the BCSO pro rata; apply the statutory parenting-time adjustment in Schedule C; add health-insurance and work-related-child-care expenses in Schedule D; apply supported deviations in Schedule E; apply the statutory low-income adjustment; determine payer by the sign of the resulting obligation; apply qualifying Social Security/VA credits and allocate future uninsured health expenses.
How income is counted: Monthly gross income from all sources under § 19-6-15(f), including earned and unearned sources, self-employment gross receipts minus ordinary and reasonable business expenses, and imputed income where applicable. Adjusted income subtracts one-half self-employment tax, actually paid preexisting support orders, and court-allowed theoretical support for qualified children.
