Determine each parent's child support income and adjusted income; combine incomes; locate the Basic Child Support Obligation from the schedule for the number of children; allocate by each parent's income share; apply parenting-time adjustment, medical/dental/vision insurance, child care, education and extraordinary-child expenses, and other guideline adjustments; offset obligations as directed by the worksheet and apply the self-support reserve test.
How income is counted: Child support income is broadly defined by the Guidelines and includes recurring and nonrecurring income from enumerated sources, subject to exclusions, self-employment rules, attribution/imputation, and permitted adjustments for spousal maintenance, support of other children, and other guideline items.
