Terms of Service

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Vireo governing your use of the Vireo mobile apps and web application. By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Vireo.

Vireo accounts are for adults. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account. Information about children in the app is added and controlled by their parents or guardians.

Vireo is a co-parenting communication and coordination platform. It provides messaging with AI tone analysis, custody scheduling and schedule-change requests, shared expense tracking, a document vault, voice and video calls, a child timeline, and PDF exports of your communication history.

Vireo is a documentation and coordination tool. It is not a law firm, a mediator, a court, or an emergency service. If you or your children are in danger, contact local emergency services. Do not rely on the app.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Provide accurate information when you sign up, and keep your account information current.

Notify us promptly at support@vireo.family if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. You may not share your account or let anyone else use it as you.

Vireo exists to keep co-parenting communication respectful and child-focused. You may not use the service to harass, threaten, abuse, or intimidate anyone, including your co-parent. Vireo's tone monitoring may flag hostile or manipulative messages, and messages that violate this policy may be blocked from sending.

You may not upload or share content that is unlawful, that infringes someone else's rights, or that you do not have the right to share. You may not attempt to access another household's data, interfere with the service, probe its security, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

Vireo is designed to create an accountable record of co-parenting communication. Content you create in a shared space (messages, threads, schedules, expenses, documents, and timeline posts) is visible to the other members of your household, is timestamped, and can be exported by household members, including your co-parent. Private lawyer threads are an exception and are visible only to the parent who created them.

By using Vireo, you consent to your shared communication being recorded in this way and being available to your co-parent, including in exports. Write accordingly: assume anything you send may one day be read by a lawyer or a judge.

Vireo's AI features, including tone analysis, court-risk estimates, and rephrasing suggestions, are assistive tools. They can be wrong. They are not legal advice, and no output of the service should be treated as advice from a lawyer or a substitute for professional judgment.

PDF exports are records of what was communicated through the service and when. They are not legal documents, and we make no guarantee that any export will be admissible in, or given weight by, any court. Consult your attorney about how to use your records.

Vireo may offer paid subscription plans with additional features. Pricing, billing cycles, trials, and cancellation and refund terms for paid plans will be presented at the point of purchase and will supplement these terms. Until then, features described on our website as part of paid plans may change before launch.

Vireo and its software, design, and branding belong to us and our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the apps for their intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, resell, or reverse engineer the service except where the law permits it.

You keep ownership of the content you create and upload. You grant us the license needed to store, process, display, and transmit that content in order to operate the service, including sharing it with your household and processing message text for tone analysis as described in our Privacy Policy.

You may stop using Vireo and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service.

Because Vireo is designed for documentation, communication records already shared with your household may be retained for the other parent's records after your account is closed, as described in our Privacy Policy. Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 6, 8, 10, and 11) do survive.

Vireo is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-interruption. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, that AI assessments will be accurate, or that records will meet any particular legal standard.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vireo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the service or its outputs. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose (or $50 if you have paid nothing). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Vireo's operating entity is established, which will be identified here before general availability. Before starting any formal dispute, please contact us; most issues can be resolved quickly through support.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated terms on this page and update the effective date, and we will announce material changes in the app. Continuing to use Vireo after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
