Spirit day Monday. Powderpuff Tuesday. Game Friday. Dance Saturday. And somehow a science quiz in the middle. Homecoming week is fatigue wearing a theme shirt, and shared parenting adds pickup puzzles on top.
Look at the whole week, not just the dance. Who has school mornings. Who covers the game. Where the outfit lives. When homework still has to happen. Get it on one calendar before the week starts chewing people up.
Your teen may be short and tired. That is often the week, not a loyalty crisis. Protect sleep where you can. Keep handoff tone flat.
Adults align on tickets and money first. Teens should not broker payments between cars in the school lot.
If both parents at the game is not workable, split and send a quick update. Confirm the end-of-night plan twice: the day before and night-of. Tired teens plus fuzzy curfews are a bad mix.
Help them enjoy school spirit. Keep adult conflict out of the stands.
